2024 15th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management and E-Learning (IC4E 2024)

 

 

The 15th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management, and E-Learning (IC4E 2024) was a remarkable event organized by Kyushu University, Japan with technical support from Purdue University Northwest, USA; University of Wales Trinity Saint David, UK; De La Salle University-Manila, Philippines; China West Normal University, China; Bulacan State University, Philippines; and Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia.

 

The IC4E 2024 conference also celebrated its success with impressive participation metrics. The conference received more than 386 submissions and attracted over 120 participants from 40 countries and regions. This global engagement underscores the conference's significant impact on fostering international collaboration and sharing innovative research in the fields of e-education, e-business, e-management, and e-learning.

 

 

The conference spanned four days, featuring a series of keynote speeches, invited talks, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.

 

Keynote Speakers

 

1. Prof. Elliot Soloway, University of Michigan, USA

Renowned for his work in mobile learning and technology-enhanced education, Prof. Soloway delivered a keynote on "Using a Next-Generation Platform, Deeply-Digital Curricula and Digitally-Motivated Pedagogical Practices to Support Today’s Alpha Generation Learners." His presentation focused on how modern digital tools and pedagogical practices can be tailored to meet the needs of the current generation of learners.

2. Prof. Cathie Norris, University of Michigan, USA (co-present with Prof. Soloway)
Prof. Norris, a co-researcher with Prof. Soloway, discussed innovative strategies in e-education. She emphasized collaborative learning and the integration of mobile devices in the classroom, highlighting how these approaches can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.


3. Prof. Kuan-Chou Chen, Purdue University Northwest, USA
Prof. Chen presented on "Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education." He discussed the transformative potential of AI in educational settings, including personalized learning, predictive analytics, and the automation of administrative tasks.

4. Assoc. Prof. Mitsunori Hirogaki, Kyushu University, Japan
Prof. Hirogaki shared insights on "Exploring MBA Education Needs: A Pilot Survey for Japanese Company Employees," discussing the evolving requirements of MBA programs to better serve the professional development of employees in Japanese companies.

1. Assoc. Prof. Haithem Zourrig, Kent State University, USA
- Prof. Zourrig delivered a speech titled "Addressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Challenges in Business Education," focusing on the importance of integrating DEI principles in business education to foster inclusive learning environments.

2. Prof. Maricar S. Prudente, De La Salle University, Philippines
- Prof. Prudente's speech, "Adaptive, Innovative and Effective Practices in Teaching Science: Experiences from the Philippines," highlighted effective teaching strategies and innovative practices in science education based on experiences from the Philippines.

3. Senior Lecturer Qingqing Xing, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), China
- Dr. Xing discussed "Using AIGC Tools to Facilitate Academic Communication: Experiences from An Interdisciplinary University," exploring the role of AI-generated content tools in enhancing academic communication across disciplines.

4. Dr. Shahid Anjum, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei
- Dr. Anjum's presentation titled "Generative AI and its Applications in Education & Research: A Discussion in Digital Ecosystem Transformation" covered the potential and implications of generative AI technologies in transforming educational and research ecosystems.

5. Prof. Shan Wang, University of Saskatchewan, Canada
- Prof. Wang explored "Storytelling Short Video Advertising and Narrative Transportation: A Systematic Study of Story Design Elements," examining the impact of narrative design elements in short video advertising and their effectiveness in engaging audiences.

6. Assoc. Prof. Fatima Azmi, Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia (Online)
- Prof. Azmi addressed "Mathematics and Science Communication," focusing on effective strategies for communicating complex scientific and mathematical concepts to diverse audiences.
